FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

THE REPFLEX SYSTEM

THE REPFLEX SYSTEM EXPLAINED

WHAT IS THE REPFLEX SYSTEM?

The RepFlex system is a goalkeeper glove performance system that connects resistance training, technical refinement, and match-day execution. REACT builds explosive output with RFX-6™ CORE resistance. TEKNIQ sharpens catching mechanics with resistance and anti-grip demand. APEX completes the system as the match goalkeeper glove built for grip, speed, and control.

HOW DOES THE REPFLEX GLOVE SYSTEM WORK?

The RepFlex system gives each goalkeeper glove a specific performance role. REACT is the output glove for speed, stopping power, grip strength, wrist strength, and force output. TEKNIQ is the technical glove for hand shape, clean contact, catching discipline, and control under demand. APEX is the match glove for full-speed performance.

WHAT IS RFX-6™ CORE?

RFX-6™ CORE is the resistance engine inside RepFlex patent-pending goalkeeper training gloves. It is a soft, flexible resistance structure integrated through the glove to add controlled demand during real goalkeeper movement, including catches, dives, punches, parries, recoveries, reactions, and distributions.

DO I NEED ALL REPFLEX GLOVE MODELS?

No. You can start with the glove that matches your current goal. Choose REACT to build speed, stopping power, grip strength, wrist strength, and force output. Choose TEKNIQ to refine catching mechanics and technical control. Choose APEX for match-day grip, speed, and execution. The full system connects all three.

WHAT ORDER SHOULD I USE REACT, TEKNIQ, AND APEX?

Use REACT first to build output under resistance. Use TEKNIQ next to refine catching mechanics under anti-grip demand. Use APEX for match-day competition. The pathway is simple: build the keeper, sharpen the control, then compete with grip, speed, and confidence.

THE PERFORMANCE LOGIC

WHY THE WORK TRANSFERS

WHY DOES GOALKEEPER-SPECIFIC RESISTANCE MATTER?

Goalkeeper-specific resistance matters because training transfers best when the movement matches the sport. Most resistance training happens away from the position. RepFlex adds controlled resistance inside real goalkeeper actions, so catches, dives, punches, recoveries, reactions, and distributions stay familiar while the training demand increases.

DO WEIGHTED GOALKEEPER GLOVES SLOW MY HANDS DOWN?

No. RepFlex training gloves are designed to do the opposite: build faster, more explosive goalkeeper movement. RFX-6™ CORE adds controlled resistance to the same catches, dives, punches, recoveries, and reactions keepers already train. That added demand challenges hand speed, reaction speed, grip strength, wrist strength, and force output during training. When the resistance is removed, keepers return to match play with the same movement patterns trained under higher demand. Faster hands. Stronger saves. More explosive reactions.

HOW IS REPFLEX DIFFERENT FROM GENERAL RESISTANCE TRAINING?

General resistance training builds overall athletic capacity. RepFlex was developed around the principle of specificity: training should match the movement demands of the sport. REACT and TEKNIQ add controlled resistance inside goalkeeper-specific actions like catches, punches, parries, dives, recoveries, reactions, and distributions. That creates targeted demand through the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper body while keeping the work connected to real goalkeeper movement.

ARE REPFLEX TRAINING GLOVES BASED ON SPORTS PERFORMANCE PRINCIPLES?

Yes. RepFlex goalkeeper training gloves are engineered for progressive goalkeeper training demand, scaled by glove size, athlete size, and stage of development.

The resistance stays soft, flexible, and distributed through the backhand, fingers, and wrist to help preserve natural hand mechanics, glove articulation, and sport-specific movement under demand.

REPFLEX GOALKEEPER GLOVE MODELS

REACT. TEKNIQ. APEX.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REACT, TEKNIQ, AND APEX?

REACT, TEKNIQ, and APEX each serve a different role in the RepFlex goalkeeper glove system. REACT is the resistance training glove for explosive reactions, stopping power, grip strength, wrist strength, and force output. TEKNIQ is the resistance training glove with an anti-grip training palm for catching mechanics, hand shape, clean contact, and technical control. APEX is the match goalkeeper glove for grip, speed, ball control, and full-speed competition.

WHAT ARE REACT GLOVES USED FOR?

REACT is the RepFlex goalkeeper training glove used for resistance-based performance development. Powered by RFX-6™ CORE, REACT adds controlled resistance to real goalkeeper movements like catches, dives, punches, recoveries, reactions, and distributions to help build speed, stopping power, grip strength, wrist strength, and force output.

WHAT ARE TEKNIQ GLOVES USED FOR?

TEKNIQ is the RepFlex goalkeeper training glove used for technical development under demand. It combines RFX-6™ CORE resistance with an anti-grip training palm, increasing catching difficulty so keepers can refine hand shape, clean contact, catching discipline, grip strength, wrist strength, and technical control.

WHAT ARE APEX GLOVES USED FOR?

APEX is the RepFlex goalkeeper match glove designed for full-speed competition. APEX does not include RFX-6™ CORE resistance. APEX is engineered for match-day grip, lightweight speed, ball control, and confident execution when the game goes live.

ARE REACT AND TEKNIQ MATCH GLOVES?

No. REACT and TEKNIQ are goalkeeper training gloves, not match gloves. They add RFX-6™ CORE resistance to help develop speed, stopping power, grip strength, wrist strength, force output, and technical control during training. For match play, use APEX or another dedicated goalkeeper match glove.

SIZING AND FIT

GOALKEEPER GLOVE FITMENT

HOW DO I MEASURE MY HAND FOR REPFLEX GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Measure your middle finger from the base crease to the fingertip, then match that measurement to the RepFlex goalkeeper glove size chart. Click here to view the RepFlex Size Chart. A goalkeeper glove should feel secure without crushing the hand. The fit should allow catching, punching, parrying, diving, recovering, and reacting without restricting natural movement.

SHOULD I SIZE UP OR DOWN IN REPFLEX GLOVES?

If you are between RepFlex glove sizes, size up. A slightly roomier goalkeeper glove fit helps preserve comfort, glove articulation, and natural hand movement. RepFlex gloves should feel secure, connected, and controlled, not cramped or restrictive.

DO REPFLEX GOALKEEPER GLOVES COME IN YOUTH SIZES?

Yes. RepFlex goalkeeper gloves are available in youth and adult sizes. RFX-6™ CORE resistance scales by glove size, so smaller gloves carry less resistance and larger gloves carry more. This keeps training demand progressive and connected to the keeper’s size and development stage.

DO REPFLEX TRAINING GLOVES FIT LIKE NORMAL GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Yes. They fit like, well, a glove. That's part of our magic. RepFlex training gloves are engineered around fitment from the start, so they feel secure, natural, and familiar on the hand. RFX-6™ CORE is integrated through the backhand structure, not packed into the hand chamber. Custom cut patterns and fit adjustments help preserve natural glove feel, hand mechanics, and articulation.

IS SIZING CONSISTENT ACROSS REACT, TEKNIQ, AND APEX?

Yes. RepFlex uses one sizing system across REACT, TEKNIQ, and APEX, but each glove has a different performance feel. REACT and TEKNIQ include RFX-6™ CORE resistance. APEX is lighter and built for match play. Use the size chart first, then choose the glove based on your training or competition goal.

GLOVE CARE AND LIFESPAN

GOALKEEPER GLOVE CARE

HOW LONG SHOULD REPFLEX GOALKEEPER GLOVES LAST?

RepFlex goalkeeper glove lifespan depends on surface, frequency of use, training intensity, care habits, and palm material. REACT and TEKNIQ are training gloves made for repeated goalkeeper sessions, with ultra-high durability palms. APEX match gloves use pro-grip, German Contact Latex which is less durable compared to RepFlex training gloves. Users of any glove featuring German Contact Latex should expect a low-durability, but high-performance palm. Clean and care for your gloves properly, avoid unnecessary turf abrasion, and let them dry naturally.

WHY DO GOALKEEPER GLOVES WEAR OUT FAST?

Goalkeeper gloves wear out because the latex palm takes repeated contact with balls, turf, grass, dirt, moisture, and impact. High-quality latex is extremely susceptible to abrasion. High-grip match latex usually wears faster because it is made for grip, touch, and ball control. RepFlex training gloves offer extreme durability for repetitive goalkeeper training sessions.

ARE REPFLEX GLOVES GOOD FOR ARTIFICIAL TURF?

RepFlex training gloves handle turf exceptionally well. Match gloves, featuring pro-grade latex can show wear and tear after one match or training session. This is industry standard. In general, avoid dragging the palms across the surface, clean the gloves after use, and rotate training gloves and match gloves when possible. Turf abrasion is one of the biggest factors in glove wear.

HOW TO PROPERLY STORE GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Store goalkeeper gloves in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not leave wet gloves sealed in a bag after training. Let them air dry naturally, keep palms from sticking together, and avoid heat sources that can damage latex, stitching, wrist straps, or glove structure.

CAN I USE GRIP SPRAY?

RepFlex does not recommend using grip sprays on goalkeeper gloves. Sprays can alter palm texture, leave buildup on the latex, reduce natural ball feel, and accelerate wear over time. Clean water, proper glove care, and natural palm maintenance are the best way to preserve grip, control, and glove performance.

GOALKEEPER GLOVE 101

GENERAL GOALKEEPER GLOVE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

WHAT SIZE GOALKEEPER GLOVES SHOULD I BUY?

Choose goalkeeper gloves based on hand measurement, fit preference, and the brand’s size chart. A goalkeeper glove should feel secure without crushing the hand or restricting movement. If you are between sizes, many keepers size up for comfort, finger room, and better glove articulation.

HOW SHOULD GOALKEEPER GLOVES FIT?

Goalkeeper gloves should fit snug, secure, and connected to the hand. The glove should not feel painfully tight, overly loose, or restrictive. A proper fit helps support catching shape, punching motion, grip control, and confidence during training or match play.

WHAT ARE GOALKEEPER GLOVE CUTS?

Goalkeeper glove cuts describe how the palm and fingers are shaped, stitched, and wrapped around the hand. Common cuts include flat cut, negative cut, roll finger, and hybrid cut. Glove cut affects fit, ball feel, latex contact, finger wrap, and control.

WHICH GOALKEEPER GLOVE CUT IS BEST?

The best goalkeeper glove cut depends on the keeper’s hand shape, fit preference, and playing style. Negative cuts usually feel tighter and more connected. Roll finger cuts create more latex contact around the fingers. Hybrid cuts blend fit, wrap, and control for a more customized glove feel. RepFlex's preferred cut is a Hyla Hybrid palm cut.

WHAT IS THE BEST LATEX FOR GOALKEEPER GLOVE GRIP?

High-quality contact latex is commonly used in premium goalkeeper match gloves because it delivers strong grip, ball feel, and control. Softer match latex usually grips better but can wear faster, especially on turf or during high-rep training. Training palms are usually chosen for durability and repeated use.

SHOULD I PRE-WASH NEW GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Yes. Many goalkeeper glove care guides recommend a gentle pre-wash before first use. Pre-washing can remove residue from the latex palm and help activate grip. Use lukewarm water, gentle hand pressure, and air dry naturally before training or match play.

HOW DO I CLEAN GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Clean goalkeeper gloves with lukewarm water and gentle hand pressure after use. Remove dirt from the palm, rinse carefully, and air dry naturally. Avoid harsh detergents, high heat, direct sunlight, dryers, and rough scrubbing because they can damage latex and shorten glove lifespan. See RepFlex Glove Care Guide.

CAN I PUT GOALKEEPER GLOVES IN THE WASHING MACHINE?

No. Most goalkeeper glove care guidance recommends avoiding washing machines because machine agitation and heat can damage latex, stitching, wrist straps, and glove structure. Hand cleaning is the better method for preserving goalkeeper glove grip, fit, and lifespan.

HOW LONG DO GOALKEEPER GLOVES LAST?

Goalkeeper glove lifespan depends on playing surface, training frequency, latex type, weather, care habits, and how the keeper moves. Turf, dry palms, dragging the gloves, and high-rep training can wear gloves faster. Proper cleaning, drying, and rotation help extend performance life. RepFlex goalkeeper training gloves will outlast the vast majority of existing glove brands.

ARE GOALKEEPER GLOVES GOOD FOR ARTIFICIAL TURF?

Goalkeeper gloves can be used on artificial turf, but turf is harder on latex than natural grass. Turf creates more abrasion, especially when palms drag across the surface. For turf, keepers should avoid pushing up with open palms, clean gloves after use, and consider durable training gloves.

WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Replace goalkeeper gloves when grip, fit, structure, or control drops below your playing standard. Visible latex wear, reduced grip in wet conditions, loose wrist support, torn stitching, or poor ball control are signs the gloves may be past their best performance window.

WHY DO GOALKEEPERS WET THEIR GLOVES?

Goalkeepers wet their gloves to help activate the latex palm and improve grip, ball feel, and control. The palm should be lightly damp, not soaked. Too much water can make the glove feel heavy or slippery, while a dry palm can lose tack faster and wear down sooner. For RepFlex gloves, clean water and proper glove care are the move. No grip spray. No shortcuts. Just clean palms, controlled moisture, and better contact.
